Well, this was my first race of the 2004 season. I haven't ridden since November due to surgery and weather. I think my start was OK. I worked my way up to around 5th before running out of steam. There were some new sections of the track I wasn't comfortable with. They put in a spilt section in a sand straight-away. I could never get the timing down so I didn't go very well throught there. Then there was a supercross style whoop section. I have never ridden that style of whoops before. I was definitely not going well through there either. Everywhere else was good. I'll have to adjust.
(Moto 2) +30C: 7th
Moto #2 went better than the first. I was top 4 throught the first few turns. I rode much looser this moto. I just ran out of steam again. Those 2 sections were still giving me trouble. I was 4th with 2nd and 3rd right in front of me. I have the speed but no endurance in my arms. There were definitely some positive things that I realized this weekend. I just have to focus on a few other things and I'll be fine.
Overall: 7th

Well, I had a good start and was running in 4th or 5th and at the end of the 2 lap I lost my front sproket bolt. The sprocket came off and jammed in the frame. Needless to say that was the end of my moto. I was riding pretty well considering I have ridden a total of 3 times all year prior to today.
(Moto 2) +30C: 17
Moto #2 start was about the same, but I didn't get passed a few corners before my right hand cramped up. I couldn't use the front brake at all. I rode a lot in the morning practices to get back in the swing of things and it caught up with me. I considered pulling off, but I really wanted to not quit. I rode around slow for about half a minute and my hand lossened up a bit. I just tried to be safe the rest of the moto. I didn't finish well, but I was proud I stuck with it when I could have easily quit.I finished mid pack. Not bad considering how slow I rode most of the race. I had a lot of fun today even though my results weren't up to par. It's been a while since I had fun riding my bike. I think it's a sign of things to come. I want to ride now as oppposed to before when I felt I had to ride to get better. I think I can have fun not going all out and trying to be in racing shape and all that.
Overall: 28th
